About Me

I'm Dr. Renaldo "Jonesy" Jones — combat veteran, physicist, engineer, program director, and now AI innovator. My career has been one long thread of never stopping: from deploying tactical communications systems in Iraq, to designing EV powertrains, to leading $30M+ programs in aerospace and pipeline integrity, to building my own apps from scratch.

Today I serve as Program Director of Pipeline Integrity at T.D. Williamson, where I lead high-impact inspection and diagnostic programs. On my own time, I'm a Microsoft Copilot & Anthropic Claude Champion, Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, and the creator of the RACE Framework — a structured method for writing AI prompts that actually work. I built RACEprompt as a solo developer to put that framework in everyone's pocket.

Whether you're a business leader, creator, or just someone who wants better answers from AI — the RACE framework is your shortcut to getting it right, every time.

My Journey

U.S. Army

Combat Veteran & Signal Leader

Served in the U.S. Army including a combat deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Planned, deployed, and troubleshot tactical communications systems. Rose to the rank of Sergeant at a young age while leading soldiers in some of the most adverse conditions imaginable.

2008–2013

Physics Degree & Engineering Roots

Earned a B.S. in Physics from the University of Utah while launching into mechanical engineering — designing automation systems at Setpoint, industrial enclosures for mining at FMC Technologies, then EV powertrain components at VIA Motors where I ran FEA, CFD, and led the battery system design team.

2015–2019

From Engineer to Director

Promoted from Senior Mechanical Engineer to Director of Production & Service at VIA Motors, leading facilities in Utah and Mexico. Then moved to Triumph Gear Systems as Program Manager, overseeing $30M+ in annual product programs across aerospace. Earned my PMP along the way.

2019–2022

Strategic Leadership at T.D. Williamson

Joined T.D. Williamson as Program Manager, then promoted to Senior Manager of the Strategy Execution Office — essentially Director of PMO, reporting to the CIO/VP and working directly with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and new product introduction. Completed my MBA at WGU and began my Doctor of Strategic Leadership at Liberty University.

2023–Now

AI Innovation & RACEprompt

Led digital transformation as Senior Manager of ILI Transformation, then promoted to Program Director of Pipeline Integrity. Dove deep into AI, became a Microsoft Copilot & Anthropic Claude Champion, earned my Prosci Change Practitioner certification, and completed my doctorate. Created the RACE Framework and built RACEprompt as a solo developer — putting structured prompt engineering into everyone's hands.

"AI should amplify human judgment, not replace it."

This principle guides everything I do. Technology is most powerful when it enhances human decision-making, creativity, and strategic thinking — not when it attempts to eliminate the human element.
