Need help? I got you.
Hey — it's Jonesy. I built this app and I read every support email myself. If something's off, tell me — I'd rather hear it now than read about it in a review.
Quick start
Open the RACE Builder
It's the first tab. Type what you want in plain English — don't overthink it.
Let it coach you
The app walks you through Role, Action, Context, Expectation. Answer the prompts — the resulting prompt gets sharper fast.
Tap Run
Get the answer streamed back. Save it to your Prompt Journal or copy-paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whatever you use.
Frequently asked
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS or macOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → RACEprompt → Cancel. The plan stays active until the end of the current billing period — no immediate cutoff.
Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → RACEprompt → Cancel.
Web (Sprint tier only): reply to your purchase confirmation email and I'll handle it.
Can I get a refund?
Apple and Google own the refund call for in-app purchases — I literally can't issue one on iOS / Android. Use reportaproblem.apple.com or the Google Play refund flow.
If they say no and you've got a real reason — the app didn't work, you got double-charged, you bought the wrong tier — email hello@drjonesy.com. I'll back you up with whatever evidence I have on my side.
How do I set up BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)?
Settings → AI Providers → Bring Your Own Key. Paste a key from Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, or Azure OpenAI.
The key is stored in your device Keychain (iOS / macOS) or Keystore (Android). It is never sent to my servers. Your prompts go directly from your device to the provider you keyed.
BYOK is the right move if you want zero relay through me, want to use a model I don't ship by default, or want to charge usage to your own account.
Where are my saved prompts?
The Prompt Journal tab. Every prompt you save lives there — organized, tagged, searchable.
Storage: locally on your device by default. Encrypted at rest. If you turned on sync, they're replicated through your account in encrypted form so they show up on your other devices.
Is my data private?
Yes. No tracking pixels. No advertising IDs. No resale of your data — ever.
Prompts you Run go to Anthropic, OpenRouter, or Azure (whichever the fallback chain selects), and are governed by each provider's own privacy policy. I keep a request log line for debugging — timestamp, provider, success / fail, token count — but no prompt content. It's purged after 30 days.

What is the 3-provider fallback?
RACEprompt doesn't bet on a single AI provider. When you tap Run:
1. Anthropic (Claude) handles the request first. If it's healthy, you get the answer from Claude.
2. OpenRouter picks up if Anthropic errors or times out.
3. Azure OpenAI is the last fallback if both above fail.
You can turn any of them on or off in Settings → AI Providers. If you've added BYOK keys, those take priority over the shared providers.
Why this matters: when a provider has an outage (and they all do, eventually), the app still works.
What if AI doesn't respond?
The fallback usually catches it before you notice. If all three providers are down at the same time — rare but it happens — you'll see a clear error with a Retry button. No silent failures, no spinning loaders.
If you're seeing repeated errors that don't go away in a few minutes, screenshot it and email hello@drjonesy.com. Status updates also live at the status section below.
How do I switch between models?
Tap the model name above the prompt field. You'll see the models available on your tier — Claude, GPT-class, Gemini-class, plus any BYOK models you've set up.
For most prompts, the default works fine. Switch when you want a specific behavior — long-context for big documents, faster cheaper models for simple stuff.
Can I use RACEprompt offline?
You can browse, search, edit, and export your saved prompts offline. The Prompt Journal works without a connection.
Run requires a connection — the AI providers live in the cloud. There's no on-device model in the current build.
How do I delete my account?
Email hello@drjonesy.com with "delete account" in the subject. I delete within 7 days and confirm by reply. Saved prompts and account metadata go with it.
Want a backup first? Same email, "export" in the subject — you'll get a JSON dump.
I'm a real person.
Hey — if you've made it this far, I owe you the real version. RACEprompt is built and supported by me, Dr. Renaldo "Jonesy" Jones. Not a team. Not a queue. Not a chatbot pretending to be support.
When you email hello@drjonesy.com, your message hits my inbox. I read it. I write back. Usually inside 24–48 hours, often faster — unless I'm sleeping or on a flight, in which case it's the next morning.
If something's broken, tell me. If you want a feature, tell me. If you've got feedback that's gonna sting, tell me anyway — I'd rather hear it from you now than learn it from a one-star review.
Current status
If you're experiencing something that looks like an outage, check this page first, then email hello@drjonesy.com with a screenshot. Provider-side outages (Anthropic, OpenRouter, Azure) are also published on each provider's own status page.
